Lyndsay is alleged to have made a complaint that resulted in the popular NW Regional Chair being put on a Temporary Suspension Pending Investigation (TSPI).
Lyndsay is alleged to have made complaints against the two temporary Co-Chairs of the NW Region (elected to cover the Chair’s suspension) that resulted in them also being put on TSPI.
An Emergency General Meeting (EGM) of NW Region was held on 03/10/24 resulting in a vote to recall both GPRC Reps (Mel Earp and Lyndsay McAteer), a highly unusual, if not unprecedented, action for a region to take.
Lyndsay stood for re-election to GPRC in February 2025 but was not elected.
Lyndsay has consistently been hostile to Green Party Women describing the group as a “TERF echo chamber designed to stoke up the fires of transphobia”.
Lyndsay is on the Watchlist because we think she poses a threat to the wellbeing of GPEW and should not be in any position of power or influence.
In Conclusion:
Many of us are concerned about her negative influence on the wellbeing of GPEW and its members. But the record shows that Lyndsay was removed from office by the members of her own Region at an EGM. Therefore …..
We would urge people NOT to vote for Lyndsay McAteer in any election, and not even place her name below RON.
