Ash Routh

Ash sits on the Standing Orders Committee (SOC) and in the past has been a member of the Green Party Regional Council (GPRC) and a co-Chair of LGBTIQA+ Greens. Ash has been a candidate in several local elections and once stood for Chair of the Green Party Executive (GPEx). Ash is male but currently identifies as a woman.

Ash is on the Watchlist because we think he poses a threat to the wellbeing of GPEW and should not be in any position of power or influence.

We will start by saying that Ash cannot be trusted. That became clear in the 2023 Burning Pink trial.

“The campaign was heavily disrupted after Ashley Routh, a long-standing member of the Green Party (who stood for a place on the executive), had infiltrated their Zoom meetings. The jury were shown recordings of a meeting, in which Routh enthusiastically agreed to take part in an upcoming action, even though the number of other willing and available activists was in question. After the meeting, Routh handed over secretly-made recordings to the police, which led to raids and arrests.”

Ash is a spy, an agent-provocateur and a grass.

Ash is no supporter of Safeguarding

This 2020 Tweet refers to a fringe conference meeting on the safeguarding lessons of the Challenor affair at which Andy Healey (AH) spoke. Andy Healey is one of the whistleblowers about this safeguarding scandal and was suspended, then subsequently expelled, from the Green Party for doing so. At the time Ash was a co-Chair of LGBTIQA+ Greens so was advising their committee not to attend and learn potentially important safeguarding lessons.

Ash is also no supporter of Women’s Rights.

This was his opinion of Green Party Women:

There is much anecdotal evidence that Ash was active in the campaign to have Alison Teal removed as a Prospective Parliamentry candidate (PPC) in Sheffield. Here he is wearing his “girls who are gay boys have more fun” t-shirt outside a Green Party meeting called to replace Alison.

There is also anecdotal evidence that Ash has been involved with the harassment and denigration of those advocating for Women’s Sex-Based Rights. This 2021 Tweet shows Ash giving tacit encouragement to the binning of leaflets on a motion on women’s rights at Green Party Conference.

SOC

Ash has been a member of SOC for many years now. This is the opinion of an ex-member of SOC from his Speaking Out submission of January 2024.

“The new SOC elected in Autumn 2022 included two members continuing from the previous year, the convenor Tim Kiely and Ash Routh, and one other Trans-activist, Melanie Earp, giving them a 3-2 majority on the committee. It has continued to make decisions based on the Trans-activist ideology of its majority members, rather than conforming to an objective and even-handed interpretation of SOCC.”

Those interested in the corruption of SOC can find out more in the following two documents:

We would urge people NOT to vote for Ash Routh in any election, and not even place his name below RON.
