The Green Party of England and Wales has many ex-members and supporters who say they will no longer vote Green.
The party stopped paying capitations to local parties in 2024. (They are the element of the subscription fee that a member pays to the national party which is returned pro rata to the local party that the member belongs to.)
There is a democratic deficit in that only about two or three per cent of the members take part in Conference, which is the sovereign decision-making body in the party.
This lack of good governance is an open door for factional takeover.
We are a group of Concerned Greens who are sounding the alarm in the hope that others will recognise this crisis and help reclaim the Green Party for the good of the people and the natural world.
